Tatadindin – The role of Griots in African society
The Gambian Kora Genius, Tatadindin gave an interview to our workshop Journalist Kebba Touray as part of his participation to AfriCourage.
Tatadindin: Interview with the Kora Genius
They discussed his beginnings as a kora player and his early European experience. He explained how the beautiful instrument works, how it is played, and the role of Griots in African society. He also mentioned what does participating to AfriCourage means to him and concluded with what he’s going to play on AfriCourage stage.
Tatadindin will be performing during OpenMicFest/AfriCiourage festival at the Independence Stadium, Bakau, The Gambia on December 28th.
